Dit is een rode Bourgogne met veel waar voor zijn geld. Sprankelende aroma’s van rode kers, aalbes en gekneusd fruit mengen zich met de overheerlijk zachte en romige textuur. Een florale wijn die erg verleidelijk uit de hoek komt.

The Bachelet brothers’ 2017 Bourgogne Rouge exhibits a generous bouquet of red and black fruits, subtly framed by a judicious touch of recently used wood. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a succulent core of fruit and melting tannins. It’s a blend of fruit from the communes of Puligny-Montrachet and Maranges along with grapes from the Hautes Côtes.

The Sunday Times Wine Club: ‘The bulk of the fruit for this wine is sourced from Puligny-Montrachet and Maranges. This is already beautifully soft on the palate with a complex, slightly herbal finish. Quite significant but ultra-fine tannins too. Plenty of red fruit here.’
