Vinous – 88-91 Morey Saint Denis 2016 Dom Forey

Full dark red. Aromatic nose combines raspberry, clove, nutmeg and a hint of stems, plus a suggestion of leathery rusticity. Fine-grained, spicy and expressive in the mouth, displaying a silky texture and good concentration in spite of the normal yield here. A touch dusty on the end (perhaps due to the stem influence) but the tannins are fairly smooth.
