This straw yellow wine with light green reflections has a green apple scent in perfect harmony with typical floral aromas of orange blossom. The taste is nice and fresh and persistent. Nicely structured wine with a soft caress in which acidity and alcohol have a well-balanced ratio. Convincingly delicious until the final!

I am reminded of the wind-swept waves of grass you see when you look over the beautiful expanse of this property in inland Sicily. The 2018 Sicilia Grillo Timpa is a balanced and fresh white wine that delivers equal parts citrus, fruit and sharp mineral intensity. Then, you get that attractive smell of freshly cut wild grasses.
Vinous - Antonio Galloni - Grillo della Timpa 2018 - 92/100
Luminous straw yellow. Delicate aromas of lemon, lime, sage and minty herbs. With aeration a note of Moscato Bianco-like orange blossom, grapefruit and sweet spices emerge. Fresh and juicy, with very good vibrancy to the flavors of fresh citrus fruits and minty herbs. The finish is long and juicy, offering a hint of powdered rocks on the tail end.
Vinous - Antonio Galloni - Grillo della Timpa 2015 - 92/100
Bright golden-tinged yellow. Aromatic notes of lemon verbena, thyme, custard cream and rose petal, plus a delicate note of eucalyptus. Big and dense; lively, harmonious acidity lifts the ripe yellow fruit and spicy flavors. Long and tactile, delivering persistent lemon verbena and saline notes on the long finish. Knockout Grillo that is weightier than most but also more perfumed, as Feudo Montoni’s cooler microclimate allows the variety’s bright aromas to really emerge. The must macerates three days on the skins.
Vinous - Antonio Galloni - Grillo della Timpa 2016 - 91/100
Luminous pale straw color. Intense notes of minty herbs, anise and honeyed apricots on the captivating nose. Then bright, fresh and saline with a juicy yet tactile mouthfeel and a long floral nuance echoing on the saline finish. A standout Grillo that packs in lots of flavor and nuance, yet sports only 13% alcohol.
