About ITALIA, BARBERA D'ASTI SUPERIORE D.O.C.G. 'Tre Roveri' Az. Pico Maccario
This 'Tre Roveri' is of course also a 100% barbera, the second grape typical of Piemonte and has been making an extremely successful comeback for some thirty years. The grapes are only picked here when they are fully ripe and after a soft bruising there is a maceration of 10 to 12 days. They rest for one year in French oak barrels of 500 to 3500 liters. The wine has a ruby red color with a typical complex and wide barbera scent palette with ripe black and red fruit and some vanilla. With a nice balance between acids and tannins, you can drink this wine ideally at 17 to 18 degrees. A barbera is everyone's friend that you can drink with white and red meat, with oily fish or even a dessert if not too sweet. This beautiful Italian is at his best between the ages of three and seven.
