We already had two beautiful Barberas from the brothers Pico and Vitaliano Maccario, but we certainly did not want to keep this 'Epico' from you, so beautiful! A wine that immediately acquires mythical proportions after the 2015 vintage won the coveted 'Tre Bicchieri'. It is a 100% barbera, the second grape typical of Piemonte, which was harvested manually here, given a soft pressing and then allowed to mature for 12 to 14 months in small French oak barrels. We smell a rich complex palette of sun-kissed red and black fruits, vanilla notes and delicate spiciness. These delicious aromas return juicy in the mouth with fresh acidity and fused tannins. The aftertaste is long and tasty with all the appetizing sensations passing in review. Delicious with savory (Italian) preparations. Drink at 17-18 degrees, best between the ages of 2 and 9. A whopper of a wine!
