It is a great honor for us to now also be able to offer you the wines of Ca ’del Baio, because this winery of the Grasso family is one of the absolute highlights from Piemonte. This family business has 25 ha of vineyards, most of which are planted with Nebbiolo. In addition to their acclaimed Barbaresco wines, they have a very nice range of the most typical wines from the region such as Barbera d 'Alba, Langhe Chardonnay & amp; Dolcetto d'Alba.
Grape: 100% Nebbiolo.
Winemaking: The grapes for this wine come from 1 very well located vineyard, Bric del Baio. Low yields and a strict selection give this wine a good start. A classic vinification under temperature control and a short passage in large oak barrels.
Color: Slightly transparent, garnet red wine with many tears on the glass.
Nose and taste: Complex nose with fine aromas of cherries, herbs and roses. In the mouth it is firm, but fresh with the typical tannins and fine acidity.
Pour with: Excellent with fine meat dishes and cheeses.
