This Côtes du Rhône comes from vineyards in the southern part of the Rhone Valley, where the Grenache grape makes up the majority of the grape crop. This region only really became a wine region after the great frost of 1956. For more than three weeks, the mistral blew temperatures of -15° C through the landscape at a speed of 100 km per hour. The former vegetation of olive trees was completely destroyed and, as a result, the landowners decided to plant vines instead. A new wine culture was born.
65% Grenache, 35% Syrah and Mourvèdre. This wine is notable for its intense, fresh nose. Its extremely seductive aroma reveals a southern temperament with red fruit, fragrant spices, liquorice and even a hint of humus. All the benefits of the Garrigue are reflected in this delicious red wine. It drinks smoothly thanks to its velvety structure, fruity character and fine tannins. A generous, delicate wine with a fresh liveliness and a nice balance. It goes perfectly with all kinds of meat dishes - also white meat, cold cuts and cheeses, but can also be served as an aperitif with amuse-bouches.
