Deze droge Riesling is uitermate geschikt voor dagelijks gebruik. Ongecompliceerd, maar verre van saai. De druiven worden geoogst op 3 verschillende percelen, waarbij elke perceel zijn eigen positieve bijdrage levert: delicaat fruit (Lenchen), verfijning (Klosterberg) en mineralitiet (Doosberg). Eigenlijk zijn het drie zielen die samensmelten tot een verfrissend fruitige Riesling die perfect kan gedronken worden bij elke gelegenheid.

Sourced as usual from both Oestrich and Hallgarten, this leads with a high-toned suggestion of quince distillate accompanied by pungent hints of lemon zest and green herbs. The palate is firm and brightly juicy, with apple and lemon. The finish benefits from some nutty and stony counterpoint.

The 2016 Rheingau Riesling Trocken “Josef Spreitzer” blends the hand-picked fruits from younger vines (10-25 years) cultivated in top vineyards such as Lenchen, Doosberg and Klosterberg. The wine has a pale citrus color and opens with bright fruit aromas intertwined with some earthy/mineral flavors. On the palate, this is a round and juicy but also pure, piquant and grippy dry Riesling with just the perfect amount of sweetness that gives this quaffable Riesling a lovely fruitiness.
